A UV curable composition that contains one to three weight percent cationic photopolymerization initiator and a charge transfer complex for a quick and complete cure has been patented by Fusion UV Systems
The composition, which contains 0.5 to one weight percent free radical photoinitiator, provides improved film properties with reduced release of volatiles. The charge transfer complex is comprised of an electron-withdrawing reactant component and an electron-donating reactant component, ie. unsaturated N-containing compound and unsaturated compound with a vinyl ether group.
A photopolymerization process is also claimed.
